OK, they sound wretched, or should I say - pardon me - incredibly shitty (or "shidi"?), but sometimes they come in handy. I've always loved to use this kind of MIDI for composing in the absence of a piano or synth, and a finalized MIDI track is a good "proof of concept" to see if a musical idea deserves the hassle of proper recording in the first place. "Shidi Midi" by musical allrounder Daniel Gillett demonstrates a huge musical potential throughout all of the recordings. So no matter the sound - it's a great pleasure to listen to this successful "proof of concept"! Favorite track: A Quarter Cup of Water.
